Graduate Profiles

Courtney Comb, CFA; Assistant Portfolio Manager and Analyst

Name and role: Courtney Comb, CFA; Assistant Portfolio Manager and Analyst

Qualification:?Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Minnesota

Location: San Francisco

After beginning my career in RCM's client services department, I became interested in learning more about the portfolio management side of the industry. I felt my background in mathematics and economics provided good building blocks for such a transition, and accepted a position on the Small and Mid Cap Equity portfolio management teams as a portfolio assistant.

Later, I was accepted into the RCM Global Graduate program to take the next step to becoming a member of RCM's investment team. During the program I spent a rotation working in RCM's Frankfurt office with their Multi Asset Team, and continued my education in San Francisco with one-on-one training with our Senior Industrials Research Analyst. Upon completion of the program, I became an Assistant Portfolio Manager and Analyst on the Small Cap team. My daily role involves identifying, researching and following all securities within the consumer discretionary and consumer staple sectors of the small cap product, and collaborating with the product CIO to determine position sizes within the portfolios.

This has proven to be an exciting and challenging industry, and the people and resources available at RCM have been instrumental in supporting my career path.
